'Intense' Divorce for Michelle Was Hard, Says The Valley's Jesse Lally; Michelle Responds

The Valley actors Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei hold different views regarding the day their divorce was completed.

“Let me tell you, as far as I’m concerned, I was finished the moment I learned about Michelle and Aaron [Nosler],” Jesse, 43, revealed to Us Weekly on Friday, November 15, at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas, in reference to Michelle’s then-partner. “Therefore, the act of signing didn’t affect me much, but I assure you, you’ll witness a strong reaction from Michelle.”

According to Jesse, although the signing of the divorce papers didn’t mean much to him, the occasion felt “intense” to Michelle, 37.

“I believe the judge’s signature was intense and emotional for her,” he speculated. “I had already experienced those feelings when I found out she was seeing someone else. I think, for her, it was the feeling of finally being relieved. I felt that way when she moved out.”

Jesse also hinted that the details of their divorce will be “quite interesting” on the upcoming season of The Valley.

Michelle, who was married to Jesse between 2018 and 2023, doesn’t recall the moment the same way, though.

“I don’t know why he would say such a thing,” Michelle told Us on Saturday, November 15, regarding Jesse’s statements regarding her apparent strong reaction. “He gave me a call and said, ‘Did you know it’s official? We’re divorced.’ I was actually sad that day, and during our conversation, he admitted he was sad, too.”

Michelle also mentioned that she and Jesse had a 45-minute “private conversation” that wasn’t captured by Bravo’s cameras.

“We were both sad but also relieved that it was finally over, and we can both move forward,” she commented while on the BravoCon red carpet. “Almost 10 years of my life had passed, we have a child together, and I’ll always care about him, but I’m very happy.”

As Michelle and Jesse prioritized raising their 5-year-old daughter, Isabella, while simultaneously working through their divorce during the filming of The Valley, Michelle found romance with Aaron. However, they separated in July.

“He gave me what I needed in that moment. I simply desired support because I was dealing with both my mom and Jesse,” Michelle remembered about meeting Aaron. “I was happy at that time, but now that we’re not together, I’m much happier being single.”

As for Jesse, he told Us that he “wasn’t surprised” that Michelle and Aaron’s relationship ended.

“I felt a mix of anger and sadness for Isabella,” Jesse expressed. “Michelle called me and informed me about the situation, explaining that they would be talking to Isabella because the two of them had just moved into his house. Isabella called me immediately after they told her, crying, ‘I want to go to Daddy’s house.’ So, Michelle brought her over.”

He added, “I sat her in the bedroom, while Michelle stayed in the living room, and I tried to explain, ‘This is what can happen in relationships.’ She was heartbroken. But, to his credit, he has allowed Isabella to FaceTime him, text him, and he has confirmed with me that it’s OK. It’s challenging for her, and that’s my primary concern.”
