For Robyn Brown, Kody Brown is willing to part ways with his facial hair.
During the Sunday, November 16, episode of Sister Wives, Robyn, 47, shared that Kody’s beard and mustache made kissing him “painful,” which prompted Kody, 56, to take action.
“If I got rid of it, would I get more kisses?” Kody questioned his wife, who responded affirmatively.
Robyn admitted that kissing Kody with the beard felt like kissing “one of those vegetable scrubbers from your kitchen sink.” Speaking to the cameras, she said, “I constantly get poked. It’s really uncomfortable.”
Kody, showing his eagerness to please Robyn, told the cameras, “I need to shave this beard off to get more kisses.”
After announcing, “We’re doing it now,” Kody confirmed that a clean shave would be rewarded.
“If I shave, promise me we’ll make out like teenagers. I promise it won’t bother me,” Kody said to Robyn as he picked up the razor and started trimming his beard.
Once Kody got rid of his mustache, leaving only a goatee, Robyn was immediately smitten.
“I haven’t seen that jawline in a while,” Robyn said, flirting with her husband. “He looks younger, I think. He looks good.”
Both Robyn and Kody were thrilled as they began kissing in the bathroom. “I’m going to get kissed now, man. Kisses for Kody,” he said in a confessional.
“Hi,” Robyn said flirtatiously to Kody between kisses. “I like it!”
She told viewers Kody looked “so much better,” and gushed about how happy she was with his new appearance. Robyn added, “Oh, my goodness. It’s like, ‘Yeah, let’s just make out. That’ll be great.’”
While Robyn preferred Kody clean-shaven, his other former wives had varying opinions on facial hair.
Christine Brown said in a confessional, “Someone once said kissing a man without a mustache is like eating an egg without salt,” implying she favors men with beards. (Christine’s husband, David Woolley, whom she married in October 2023, sports a mustache and goatee.)
Meri Brown stated, “I find facial hair attractive on men.”
Janelle Brown, on the other hand, said she doesn’t have a “strong opinion” on the matter. She shared, “I don’t want too much. I’m not really into the full beard or anything, but I think it depends on the person.”
As Sister Wives fans are aware, Kody once had four wives. He married Meri, 54, in 1990 and later entered spiritual unions with Janelle, 56, and Christine, 53, in 1993 and 1994, respectively. Robyn joined the plural marriage in 2010.
Kody divorced Meri in 2014 so he could legally marry Robyn and adopt her three children from a previous relationship. He remained spiritually married to Meri until she announced their separation in January 2023.
Kody and Meri’s separation occurred after Christine left him in November 2021 and Janelle announced their separation in December 2022.
While Robyn and Kody experienced a difficult period during the family changes, she revealed in Sunday’s episode that their romantic connection had returned.
Robyn told the cameras, “I’ve always been cautious because of the other wives. Kody and I weren’t openly affectionate, but now that it’s just us two, we flirt a lot.”
