Following Tina Knowles’ revelation as a Ginny & Georgia enthusiast, Brianne Howey expressed her desire to cast her in season 4.
“I totally lost it when I found out Tina and her entire family were [watching the show],” Howey, 36, shared exclusively with Us Weekly while discussing her partnership with Shutterfly, regarding her discovery that Beyoncé’s mother, 71, enjoyed the series. “I was beside myself.”
Howey, who embodies Georgia in the Netflix hit, noted that celebrity endorsements for Ginny & Georgia are “always a pleasant surprise.” She added, “Leslie Bibb is also a fan, and I just devoured The White Lotus. Hearing that was just amazing.”
With season 4 currently in production, Howey didn’t dismiss the possibility of cameo appearances.
“That’s the beauty of our show. The possibilities are truly limitless,” she commented. “Kudos to our writers and creator for inventing a fresh genre where anything is possible and still feels authentic and earned.”
Howey added: “Would it be too much to ask Tina Knowles to appear on the show? I’m game. Maybe she’ll let me style her hair.”
Ginny & Georgia, which debuted in 2021, centers on a young single mother who relocates her family to escape her past. The Netflix series features Howey, Antonia Gentry, La Torraca, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Scott Porter, and Raymond Ablack.

“I was quite shocked by the season 3 finale. Now, as I read each script, the writers continue to amaze me. I’m so thankful to be part of this incredible storytelling,” Howey shared with Us, hinting at the storyline following Georgia’s unexpected pregnancy. “The ending of season 3 sets the stage perfectly for season 4.”
Howey expressed high hopes for her character as the series moves forward.
“Georgia likely needs some soul-searching after the events of season 3. That’s what I’m hoping for [in season 4],” she revealed. “Ideally, I’d love to see Georgia on the right path with her children, making amends and demonstrating that change is possible.”
She continued: “Being on the show is a dream come true. I’ve never had the opportunity to be part of a season 4 before. It’s a huge honor, and we don’t take it lightly. Speaking for the entire cast, seeing the viewership numbers motivates us to ensure our next season is just as impactful and fulfilling. Everyone is working hard, excited, and riding high on the positive feedback.”
Howey is also preparing for the holidays, celebrating with her husband, Matt Ziering, and their daughter. The actress mentioned Shutterfly for simplifying her gift-finding process this year.
“I honestly wouldn’t be able to handle holiday gifting while working without something as simple as Shutterfly,” she told Us. “This partnership feels incredibly genuine to me. I’ll be using Shutterfly throughout the holiday season anyway.”
Ginny & Georgia is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
