Treylon Burks, a Washington Commanders wide receiver, mesmerized the NFL community Sunday night by snagging an amazing one-handed touchdown versus the Denver Broncos.
Marcus Mariota, the Commanders’ quarterback, orchestrated a drive down the field nearing the 5-minute mark. On the tenth play, he tossed a lob to Burks in the end zone’s corner. Burks elevated his right hand and secured the football over Broncos cornerback Riley Moss.

Burks landed with the ball, securing the go-ahead touchdown. The Commanders then surged ahead with a 14-13 lead.
NFL fans were left in awe after witnessing the play. Comparisons swiftly arose between Burks’ catch and the remarkable grab made by ex-New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. against the Dallas Cowboys in 2014.
BRONCOS’ BO NIX THROWS TD PASS WHILE FALLING TO GROUND IN STUNNING PLAY
Such plays were anticipated from Burks regularly after the Tennessee Titans drafted him in the draft’s first round back in 2022. Selected as the No. 18 overall pick from Arkansas, his stint with the Titans didn’t unfold as expected, tallying only one touchdown across 27 games.
Burks’ appearance for the Commanders on Sunday marked only his third game with Washington. Prior to the matchup, he recorded four catches for 72 yards with the team.
The touchdown marked Burks’ second in his career. Performances of this caliber will undoubtedly bolster his argument for remaining on the roster.
