The Trump administration is 'actively re-evaluating all Afghans brought into the country' in the wake of the DC shooting.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on Monday that the Trump administration is “actively re-examining” all Afghan citizens who came to the United States under the previous administration of Joe Biden.

“Any person who poses a threat to our national security or our people will be subject to deportation,” Leavitt informed reporters at a White House press conference. “President Trump has already put a permanent stop to the immigration of foreign citizens from third world nations that present a significant risk to the United States. For far too long, previous American presidents supported self-inflicted, self-destructive immigration policies that permitted foreigners who openly despise our nation and have no desire to integrate into our culture.”

This announcement follows the death of a National Guardsman who was shot in the nation’s capital the previous week, with the suspect identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan citizen. Another National Guardsman remains hospitalized and is in critical condition.
