Throughout the years, Kelly Dodd has experienced highs and lows with her family.

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum — who appeared on the Bravo series from season 11 to season 15 — was born to Frank Meza and Bobbi Meza in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1975. She has two brothers: JR Meza and Eric Meza.

After her 2001 to 2004 marriage to Scott Silva, Kelly moved on to Michael Dodd, and the two married in 2006. Before divorcing in 2018, they welcomed a daughter, Jolie Dodd, in 2006. (In 2020, Kelly wed Rick Leventhal.)

While the Bravo personality’s relationship with her family has occasionally been turbulent, Kelly made headlines in November 2025 after a supposed voicemail message she left for Jolie went viral.

Although the timing of the message is unknown, the voicemail was allegedly meant for one of Jolie’s friends to give to Jolie after her daughter blocked her “from everything.”

Kelly stated in the voice note video that went viral on social media, “You just opened a Pandora’s box Jolie. I have recordings of you, screaming at your dad because he isn’t taking you on vacation, screaming that he didn’t buy you a car. Do you remember those recordings that I saved? I have those and I’m going to publicly put them out there. Do you understand?”

Eric, her younger brother, claimed in a social media video that he was pleased that the “truth prevailed,” even though Kelly hasn’t said anything about the leaked voicemail.

Bobbi and Frank Meza

Bobbi and Frank, Kelly’s parents, have three children together: JR, Kelly, and Eric.

Kelly has discussed her tense relationship with her mother at times throughout the years.

Kelly revealed during season 14 of RHOC that there was a falling out between her, Bobbi, and Eric after they resided in Kelly’s OC home.

Kelly said on RHOC’s season 14 “After Show” in December 2019 that “My mother was telling sensitive information to my brother and then causing problems.”

However, Kelly revealed in late 2019 that things were “very good” between her mother and Eric.

She told Entertainment Tonight in September 2019, “I’m on really good terms with my brother and my mom. There’s this really good thing about the show is that it really brought my mom and my brother [and me] back together.”

Nearly six years later, Eric asserted on social media that “nobody talks to” Kelly, including their mother and their father, who Eric claimed said Kelly was a “horrible daughter.”

Eric stated in a number of social media videos in August 2025, “I don’t talk to her, her nieces and nephews don’t talk to her, her mother doesn’t talk to her. That’s self-explanatory. Doesn’t that tell you something about somebody?”

Kelly responded to Eric’s allegations by posting a video of herself phoning her father.

She said on the phone, “He said that you said that I’m a terrible daughter and that I’m the worst person on the face of this earth,” adding that she knows “why Mom doesn’t talk to me — it’s because of him.”

Frank retorted in the video, “He is so full of s***,” before adding that Eric is “worse than s***” and that “he’s sick.”

Kelly captioned the video she shared on Instagram with, “My brother is a psycho! His own dad can’t stand him!”

JR Meza

JR is Kelly’s older brother. According to his LinkedIn profile, JR is a franchise business consultant for SafeSplash Swim Schools in Scottsdale, Arizona, though not much is known about his personal life.

Eric Meza

Eric is Kelly’s youngest brother. After Kelly revealed that he and their mother lived in her house for about a year and a half, things deteriorated between her and Eric; however, Eric claimed that was untrue.

Eric claimed in an interview with AllAboutTheTea.com in September 2018 that “Kelly begged me and my mom to move into her house when Bravo hired her, because our family was part of a package deal. The only reason she got on the show was because Bravo interviewed me and my mom for five hours, and they were sold on our unique family dynamic. That’s the only reason we lived with her, not because we needed a place to stay.”

Eric claimed that he moved himself and his mother out of Kelly’s house because Kelly was “mentally, emotionally and physically” abusing Bobbi.

Kelly stated that Eric and her mother were initially only intended to stay at her house for a few months, which “turned into a year and a half,” following Eric’s claims.

She revealed on a September 2019 episode of RHOC, “I felt like my mom and Eric were taking advantage of me, and it caused my mom and me to get in a big, huge fight. They moved back to Arizona.”

Up until Eric claimed on social media in August 2025 that “nobody talks” to Kelly in their family and that Kelly is a “terrible mom,” things appeared to be going well between Eric and Kelly.

Kelly went on to refute the claims in an Instagram Story with her father, alleging that Eric is “so full of s***.”

Meanwhile, after the alleged voicemail from Kelly to Jolie was released in November 2025, Eric revealed via social media videos that he was happy that the “truth prevailed.”

He asserted, “You can obviously see the projecting that she’s done on me, my mom, Jolie, her nieces, nephews, everybody, brothers, JR, everyone … You can see the demonic entity coming out, spewing out of her mouth. It’s evident that everyone can see she has a black heart.”

While Eric noted that “it’s pretty incomprehensible” why she would say things like that to Jolie, that he’s been trying to “tell everybody” about how Kelly is for years.

He alleged, “She’s been projecting that onto me, trying to make me look like the bad guy, but we all know who the bad guy really is. So the truth comes out,” adding that Kelly has “some serious problems” and was “severely mentally ill.”

Scott Silva

From 2001 to 2004, Kelly was wed to Arizona attorney Scott Silva.

Michael Dodd

Kelly moved on to Michael Dodd after divorcing Silva. Before welcoming their daughter Jolie that same year, the couple got hitched in 2006. Although the couple briefly separated in 2012, they rekindled their romance until 2017, when Kelly announced her intention to divorce Michael.

Kelly stated in an interview with the Daily Mail that was published in September 2017: “Our marriage is over, I’m out of there!” “We’ve had problems for years and I’ve had enough. I’m done with our marriage. It’s just a case where two people can’t get along. It’s best if we went our separate ways and concentrate on our daughter.”

Jolie Dodd

Kelly and Michael welcomed daughter Jolie in 2006.

In November 2025, video footage was leaked of an alleged voicemail that Kelly sent Jolie’s friend after her daughter blocked her “from everything.”

Kelly noted that her criminal attorney was “laughing at you.”

“You’re a joke and so is your dad. And for you to even take his side after what he has done to you since 7th grade is absolutely crazy,” Kelly claimed.

Kelly has yet to release a statement following the leaked footage.
