Former Texas Teacher Pleads Guilty to Bestiality and Child Sex Crimes

A former math teacher in Texas has learned her fate after she pleaded guilty to child sex crimes and bestiality.

Hillary Danielle Williams pleaded guilty to indecency with a child by sexual contact, possession with intent to promote child pornography and bestiality during a court hearing on Tuesday, February 24, according Angelina County Jail records reviewed by Us Weekly.

Judge Todd Kassaw sentenced Williams, 34, to serve 20 years in prison for indecency with a child, 20 years for possession with intent to promote child pornography and two years for bestiality, according to KTRE, CBS19, WKRC and Texas Scorecard.

The outlets reported that officials have not clarified if the sentences will run concurrently or consecutively.

Williams taught junior high and high school math at Wells Independent School District beginning in 2024. State records indicate that Williams obtained her teaching certificate in 2015. However, the certification is currently under review by the Texas Education Agency, according to Texas Scorecard.

She and her boyfriend, Michael Scott McCary, were arrested in February 2025 after investigators allegedly found explicit photos that featured an elementary school-aged child on her device, as well as a video that allegedly showed Williams engaging in a sex act with a male dog on a cellphone, according to CBS19, Texas Scorecard and WKRC.

At the time of their arrest, deputies were contacted by sheriff’s office communications staff regarding a report of a a suicidal person, according to a complaint viewed by Lufkin Daily News.

Deputies then arrived at the scene, where McCary told one officer that he had walked around and was able to clear his head. He added that he no longer wished to harm himself and that the police officers could leave.

However, Williams told another deputy that she and McCary had argued the night before and he expressed his suicidal thoughts. She said she messaged him later that night to check on him, and he sent her a photo that caused her to be concerned for his safety.

Williams went on to tell the deputy that McCary was blackmailing her with pictures on his phone, which was when police found the photos of the minor and video with the dog.

McCary was then charged with possession of child pornography, while Williams was charged with bestiality and possession with intent to promote child pornography. The outcome of McCary’s case is not currently clear.

The Texas Scorecard reported that Williams was released from jail on $350,000 bond following her initial arrest. However, she was arrested a second time in June 2025 by Angelina County Sheriff’s Office deputies on an indecency charge after a child reported that they experienced an incident of inappropriate sexual contact with her.

Williams resigned from her teaching job in February 2025 after her first arrest, according to the outlets.

On the same day that Williams issued her resignation, Wells ISD Superintendent Jimmy Friday Wright released a statement about the situation. At the time, he said that the school district had “no information indicating that any of [their] students are directly involved in this situation,” according to KTRE.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Us‘ request for comment regarding Williams or McCray’s cases.
