One week before the divorce announcement, Kandi Burruss lauded her husband, Todd Tucker, at BravoCon 2025.
Burruss, 49, honored her family’s unwavering support on Friday, November 14, while accepting The Bravos’ Wifetime Achievement Award, first acknowledging her “Kandi-coated clique.”
She playfully remarked, “To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truth, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions. You earned this award too.”
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta personality then gave accolades to her mom and aunts for providing Bravo with “way more drama than they deserve.”
She also commended daughter Riley Burruss, a Next Gen NYC star, stating, “You took the torch, lit it on fire and brought that Burruss heat to a whole new franchise and I’m here for it.”
Tucker, 52, celebrated his wife’s tenure on the network after Bravo shared the extended version of her speech on social media.
He commented on Bravo and Kandi’s joint Instagram post, “Much deserved, you did it with class and dignity. You’re an inspiration to many. You’re the 🐐 GOAT!”
Kandi’s heartfelt recognition of her partner occurred a week before Us Weekly reported on Friday, November 21, that the pair were separating.
Kandi stated to Us, “After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and coparenting with love and respect.”
She further stated: “I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
Before their split, Kandi and Tucker were married for 11 years, much of which was filmed on RHOA.
During season 2 in 2009, the reality star debuted on the Bravo series. At the time, Kandi was a single parent to Riley, now 23, with ex Russell Spencer.
In 2011, Kandi connected romantically with Tucker, a production manager. Following their marriage three years later, Kandi became stepmother to Kaela, Tucker’s daughter from a prior relationship.
The couple welcomed son Ace, now 9, in January 2016. Blaze, their daughter who will be 6 on Saturday, November 22, was born via surrogate in 2019.
While Kandi celebrated Tucker’s support during BravoCon, her solo attendance at the three-day event sparked speculation among some fans.
Prior to their separation, Tucker and Kandi were last seen together during an October family apple-picking outing.
Tucker posted images of himself, Kandi, and their youngest children via Instagram, writing, “I hope these little apples 🍎 🍏 don’t fall far the tree! Had so much fun with @acetucker and @blazetucker at the Apple Patch!”
Later that month, Kandi brought Ace and Blaze to the pumpkin patch with friends, but Tucker was absent.
She captioned the October 21 post, “I’m blessed! Making every moment count! ❤️❤️.”
