Michael DeLano, the actor and singer recognized for his work in the “Ocean’s Eleven” movies and “Rhoda,” has passed away at age 84.
Jean DeLano, his wife, told The Hollywood Reporter that DeLano suffered a heart attack on Oct. 20 and died in a Las Vegas hospital.
He is survived by a daughter, his wife, and three grandchildren.

DeLano, whose birth name was Michael Ace Del Fatti, had a diverse career. While the show was filmed in Philadelphia, his hometown, he was a regular dancer on “American Bandstand,” and he also served in the Army.
He secured a record deal, acted in stage musicals, and adopted his stage name in the ’60s.

Before securing a more permanent role on “Firehouse,” DeLano made appearances in a number of well-known TV shows in the ’70s, including “Barnaby Jones,” “General Hospital,” and “Adam-12.”
He started playing Johnny Venture in “Rhoda” in 1976, and this is one of his most recognizable roles. In the show, he plays a lounge singer who is romantically interested in Valerie Harper’s character, Rhoda.
He also had roles in programs like “Starsky and Hutch,” “Wonder Woman,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “Hill Street Blues,” and others.
The actor occasionally appeared on the big screen, playing minor roles in movies like “9 to 5” and the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie “Commando.”
DeLano later portrayed a casino manager in “Ocean’s Twelve,” the 2004 sequel to the 2001 film “Ocean’s Eleven.”

In 2012, he made his final appearance in a two-episode arc of “Royal Pains.”

DeLano has recently decided to concentrate on music. The Hollywood Reporter claims that he was a regular performer at the Dispensary Lounge on Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas until recently.
