Radio personality Boomer Esiason makes on-air dig at Yankees commentator Suzyn Waldman

Suzyn Waldman, the radio announcer for the New York Yankees, is once again facing criticism from a WFAN personality.

Craig Carton, Boomer Esiason’s previous co-host on the radio, often made digs at Waldman, and it seems the former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback has reignited that conflict this week.

Esiason’s remarks follow a recent playful exchange between Waldman and Dave Sims, the play-by-play commentator for the Bronx Bombers. The 2025 season is the first in which Waldman and Sims have collaborated in the Yankees broadcast booth.

Gregg Giannotti, the host of WFAN’s morning show, was prompted by these exchanges to question whether Waldman felt envious of any endorsement deals Sims had secured.

Esiason noticed an ad for Dude Wipes that Sims shared as part of one of his recent deals and jokingly proposed a theory about Waldman.

“She might need, like, Vagisil daily fresh wipes,” Esiason commented. “I couldn’t even deliver that line seriously. There’s a wide variety of feminine wipes available.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Audacy, WFAN’s parent company, for their response but has not yet received one. Waldman’s representatives were unable to be contacted.

This is not the first time this season that Esiason’s comments regarding the Yankees broadcast booth have made headlines.

Esiason also made light of Sims’ absence from work during the early part of the 2025 season.

During his tenure on the radio station’s morning show, Carton frequently performed a long-running impression of Waldman that many found unflattering.

Waldman set aside any disagreements to work alongside Carton during the 2024 Yankees season.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday night, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Yankees 5-2 in Game 4 of the ALDS, ending their postseason hopes.

This marks Toronto’s first advancement to the ALCS since 2016.
