That didn’t happen. “
Spencer realized his desire to become an actor when he “was 17.”
He told the outlet, “I was always a funny guy, always trying to make people laugh and always the center of attention. I guess I was being an actor my whole life. I finally realized what I was doing and it was just getting me in trouble. I went to summer acting classes. Spencer Lofranco Was Previously Convicted of Misdemeanor Hit and Run
Spencer hit bicyclist Camille Banham with his SUV in August 2013. CBS News reported that she suffered serious injuries, including several fractures and a broken hip.
According to authorities, Spencer exited his vehicle, apologized to Banham, and then left the scene.
“I used to call what happened to me an accident, and it would’ve been an accident if Spencer had stayed and helped me after he got out of his car and saw me injured on the side of the road, but instead he chose to leave me,” Banham reportedly stated in a sentencing hearing in May 2015, according to CBS News.
The judge increased Spencer’s sentence from 10 days of community service to 50 days, along with two years of probation and $161,000 in restitution, due to Banham’s statement.
Michael Levin, Spencer’s defense attorney, stated that the event left the actor afraid, despite Spencer’s charge being reduced to a misdemeanor.
“It was an accident,” Levin told CBS News at the time. “The crime here was not leaving his identification at the scene. That’s not what injured her, and for that reason you have to look at not so much the injuries as you have to look at what happened after and what happened after does not make him a monster.”
