On Friday night, President Donald Trump declared on Truth Social that he is rescinding his backing and support for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, labeling her a “ranting lunatic” and accusing the Georgia Republican of “complaining” rather than celebrating what he referred to as his administration’s “record achievements.”
In a lengthy post where he ultimately pledged “Complete and Unyielding Support” to any conservative primary challenger leading up to the 2026 midterm elections, the president alleged that Greene “has told many people that she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls anymore.”
Trump asserted that Greene had “gone Far Left,” referencing her recent appearance on The View, and gave her the new moniker “Wacky Marjorie.”
Since entering Congress in 2021, Greene has been among Trump’s most outspoken supporters, backing him during numerous impeachment attempts and campaigning alongside him across red states.

“It appeared to commence when I shared a Poll with her indicating that she shouldn’t seek a Senate or Governor seat, as she was at 12% and had no chance (unless, naturally, she had my Endorsement — which she wasn’t going to receive!),” the president penned.
“She’s conveyed to numerous individuals her frustration over my lack of returned phone calls, but given 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and a reasonably normal life to maintain, I can’t entertain a ranting Lunatic’s call daily,” Trump added.
Rep. Greene swiftly responded on social media, stating on X that “President Trump has just attacked me and misrepresented me.”
REP MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE SAYS THERE ARE MANY ‘WEAK REPUBLICAN MEN’
“I haven’t contacted him at all, but I did share these text messages earlier today,” Greene included with screenshots of text messages. “Evidently this is what provoked him. The Epstein documents. Naturally, he’s aggressively targeting me to set an example and frighten other Republicans before the upcoming vote on releasing the Epstein documents. It’s genuinely astounding the extent he’s going to in order to prevent the Epstein documents from surfacing, even resorting to this level.”
Greene appeared to have closed the door on any potential future collaboration with President Trump in her post, stating, “I have dedicated too much of my valuable time and personal finances to supporting President Trump, and I fought more fiercely for him, even when virtually all other Republicans distanced themselves and condemned him.”
“However, I do not idolize or serve Donald Trump,” Greene expressed. “I worship God, Jesus is my savior, and I serve my district GA14 and the American people.”
After highlighting his administration’s achievements since the start of his second term this past January, the president remarked, “Having transformed the “HOTTEST” Country globally from a virtually DEAD Country just 12 months prior (and much more!), all I observe “Wacky” Marjorie doing is COMPLAINING, COMPLAINING, COMPLAINING!”
Trump’s action might create an opportunity for Georgia Republicans aiming to challenge Greene next year in her heavily Republican district.
Fox News Digital’s request for comment did not receive an immediate response from the White House.
