Sean Hannity, a Fox News anchor, has said that he will present a town hall event featuring Jack Ciattarelli, the Republican nominee for governor of New Jersey, which will be broadcast on Fox News this Thursday.
New Jersey’s gubernatorial contest is drawing a lot of attention, as Ciattarelli attempts to flip the Garden State from blue to red after nearly unseating Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy in 2021.

Recent polls indicate a narrowing gap between him and his opponent, Rep. Mikie Sherrill, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate.
A Fox News poll, which was carried out from October 10–14, revealed that Sherrill had 50% support among likely voters, while Ciattarelli had 45%. Sherrill’s 5-point lead had decreased from an 8-point advantage in Fox News’ September poll in New Jersey.

In a Fox News Digital interview on Oct. 15, Ciattarelli mentioned that he “made significant gains” in his 2021 performance “in Hudson County and Passaic County,” which have historically been Democratic Party strongholds. He also emphasized President Donald Trump’s popularity in those counties.
“And the president performed exceptionally well in ’24 in those same counties. Moreover, if you consider who has endorsed me, including some prominent Democrats in Hudson County, it’s clear that people are seeking change,” Ciattarelli stated.

Meanwhile, Sherrill has criticized Ciattarelli for supporting President Trump’s policies.

She claimed on October 8 that her Republican rival had “given no indication of standing up to this president.”
“In fact, the president himself labeled Jack as 100% MAGA, and he has consistently demonstrated that to be true,” Sherrill asserted.
The campaign has been marked by significant accusations from both sides.
According to Sherrill’s military records, the United States Naval Academy prevented her from participating in her 1994 graduation because of a cheating incident, which Ciattarelli has deemed disqualifying.

The veteran later targeted her Republican rival, accusing him of being “complicit” in the opioid-related deaths of tens of thousands of New Jersey residents, based on his ownership of a medical publishing firm that promoted the use of opioids as a low-risk treatment for chronic pain.
