Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik Tease a Spooky ‘DWTS’ Treat for Swifties

Those who love Taylor Swift will not want to miss Halloween Week on Dancing With the Stars — per Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik.

The two shared a sneak peek of their eerie ideas during an interview with Us Weekly after their Tuesday, October 21, showing. “It is a surprise, just so you know,” Affleck, 26, hinted. “It is for all the Swifties.”

When the question of a possible Swift cameo was raised, Ravnik was secretive. “You will have to see,” he remarked to Us.

Before joining DWTS as a brand-new pro this season, Ravnik was one of Swift’s Eras Tour performers. As Swifties tend to do, fans have wondered if any hidden clues have been dropped throughout Ravnik’s time on DWTS.

During the season 34 premiere in September, Ravnik and Affleck sported glittering orange outfits for their salsa, which was just as Swift, 35, began using the color to promote her newest album, The Life of a Showgirl. The following week, Ravnik and Affleck graced the ballroom floor in mint green outfits — another Showgirl era color — so Us had to know if the choices were on purpose.

“I’m going to say we are showing our support,” Ravnik stated after the September 23 episode, also saying that he and Affleck would be streaming Swift’s album “24/7.”

Regarding the outfits, Ravnik told Us, “It is not solely up to us; the [costume] department is also involved. However, we were thrilled with the color.”

As he and Affleck vie for the mirrorball trophy, Ravnik has been rather quiet concerning his time with Swift. Before the season kicked off, fellow pro Ezra Sosa joked he wanted all the Eras Tour info.

“I asked if an NDA exists, and he said no,” Sosa, 24, exclusively shared with Us in September. “So I said, ‘Oh, this is gonna be fun for me.’”

Rather than look back on the good times of the tour, Ravnik is dedicated to giving Affleck the greatest shot at winning. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star shared with Us on Tuesday that she felt “great” about what the two accomplished on stage despite the stiff competition.

She explained, “This week was very hard. It was very challenging. In all honesty, I believe this routine challenged me more than any other, so the fact that we managed to get through the dance and perform it well and gracefully was a gift.”

The pair danced a foxtrot to “As Long As You’re Mine” by Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey in honor of Wicked Night, earning a total of 32 points with eights from each judge. When judging the dance, Derek Hough advised Affleck and Ravnik not to forget the basics.

“I thought what he said was accurate, to be honest,” Affleck told Us. “I do think it is a mix of, you know, adding more difficult choreography while also using techniques and skills that can aid me in the routine. But in all honesty, I requested the challenge, and I appreciate it.”

Ravnik added that he wholeheartedly supports Affleck’s ambitious goals. “I mean, I am here to do whatever she says, and that is that,” he told Us. “She is the boss. I am just an employee.”

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
