Virginia's distasteful display of a Democratic "mom" candidate who lacks family values

Virginia Democrat gubernatorial hopeful Abigail Spanberger is making sure voters know she’s a mom of three daughters, a fact that should send Virginia parents straight to the polls.

This “girl mom” pledges to prioritize families, yet she won’t rescind her endorsement of attorney general candidate Jay Jones, who fantasized about shooting a former Virginia House Speaker and witnessing his children’s deaths.

Perhaps she’s not prioritizing the Speaker’s family.

SPANBERGER QUIET ON TWIN CONTROVERSIES IN FINAL STRETCH OF VIRGINIA RACE

And if Virginia’s children have suffered due to the irresponsible policies she backs, she’s certainly not prioritizing those families.

In 2024, Richard Cox, now 58, allegedly exposed himself to women and children in northern Virginia after being allowed in their locker rooms simply because he identifies as a woman, despite being a registered sex offender.

In September, a 14-year-old girl in a northern Virginia high school reported a boy watching girls change in the girls’ locker room to a teacher. The teacher’s response? Tough luck.

The high school’s solution, after a Title IX complaint was filed with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights, was to tell the girl to change faster. Their priority is accommodating the boy who wants to undress with girls.

I remember when schools actually protected children.

This summer, Fairfax County, Virginia high school officials were caught in an egregious scandal for allegedly using taxpayer money to fund an abortion for a minor and attempting to do the same for another student, all without parental consent. The message: we control your kids.

These same schools require parental emails to give kids Tylenol.

When questioned about the abortion scandal, Spanberger, instead of prioritizing families, mumbled about Virginia’s poor math scores.

Maybe gender indoctrination and sexual obsession with children don’t lead to math success. No education degree needed — you’re welcome.

In 2021, a boy dressed as a girl raped a ninth-grader in a northern Virginia school bathroom. The school denied it, and the superintendent tried to cover it up. The school prioritized protecting its transgender bathroom policy — the current public school religion.

The policy was safe, even if our kids weren’t. The superintendent was eventually fired, but the boy transferred to another school in the district, where he assaulted another girl.

In Orwellian fashion, the rape victim’s father, Scott Smith, was arrested and removed from a school board meeting by police as if he were the criminal.

Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin pardoned Smith after his election, but Spanberger believes the boy had every right to be in the bathroom with Smith’s daughter.

Just a few years ago, the #MeToo movement urged us to believe all women, no questions asked. Now, the pendulum seems to have swung so far the other way that we’re supposed to believe no girls, no questions asked.

While Spanberger has largely remained silent on the consequences of her disastrous policies that harm women and girls — except for a few garbled statements — her votes speak volumes.

VIRGINIA GOV. YOUNGKIN WARNS AGAINST DEM CANDIDATE’S CENTRIST LABEL, SAYS SHE’LL END COOPERATION WITH ICE

She not only voted against the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act” but also voted to hide child gender transitions from parents, while schools encourage them.

She also voted for the “Equality Act,” which disregards our daughters and sets them back by allowing men to invade their spaces. She’s hoping you’re too oblivious to notice the hidden agenda.

When questioned about girls being forced to undress in front of boys, she gave an excruciating, incoherent nearly three-minute ramble about rotational grazing practices, reminiscent of Kamala’s communication style.

Know when to stop talking, Abby.

At other times, when pressed, her staff intervened and stopped questions. Her silence ended abruptly when she apparently ran out of talking points.

Louisiana Republican Sen. John Kennedy says the Republican strategy for dealing with Democrats in Congress is “operation let them speak.”

When you let people talk long enough, you discover their true beliefs. Spanberger’s actions and words reveal her lack of commitment to Virginia families.

German pastor and anti-Nazi activist Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil.”

Throughout Virginia, our children have suffered from unnecessary evil due to the policies Spanberger supports, and she, the mom running for governor, has remained silent.

Spanberger’s reprehensible rhetoric, “let your rage fuel you,” reveals why she aligns with Jay Jones.

Common sense Virginia voters will channel our rage peacefully — all the way to the voting booth.
