A report indicates that a 'No Kings' activist pledged to ‘fight ICE’ using incendiary devices during a demonstration in a liberal city.

A man from upstate New York was apprehended in New York City after he allegedly professed to be en route to assault federal agents on the same day that thousands demonstrated in the nationwide “No Kings” protests.

David Cox, 54, was arrested in Brooklyn on Saturday after allegedly claiming he had firebombs in his car and intended to “fight ICE agents” at the Manhattan protest, according to The New York Post.

The NYPD stated that Cox allegedly made the threats while in conversation with a bystander at an upstate gas station on Friday night.

After Cox departed, the bystander contacted local authorities to report what was said.

The NYPD stated that the following day, as 100,000 demonstrators filled the streets for a “No Kings” rally, authorities were notified that Cox’s vehicle had entered Brooklyn, and he was taken into custody without incident.

According to The Post, police did not find any firebombs or weapons in Cox’s vehicle.

Police reported that Cox is charged with making a terroristic threat, making a false report of terrorism, and threatening mass harm.

The charges are the result of tens of thousands of protesters speaking out against President Donald Trump’s administration during the nationwide demonstrations, where attendees often wore satirical costumes and carried signs.

The NYPD stated that despite the large crowds in the Big Apple, no arrests related to the protest were made.
