McCaffrey rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, he recorded seven receptions for 72 yards. His scoring began in the second quarter, giving San Francisco a 7-3 lead. Later, with 2:26 remaining, he sealed the victory for the 49ers, being pushed into the end zone.
It was a frustrating night for the Falcons, to say the least.
Michael Penix Jr. completed 21 of 38 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked twice and also fumbled. Following two significant victories over the Washington Commanders and Buffalo Bills, the Falcons’ offense was anticipated to perform better against a somewhat weakened 49ers defense.

Atlanta had nine drives throughout the game, only managing 19 first downs. They were successful on 5 of 11 third-down attempts and failed on both fourth-down conversion attempts.
San Francisco totaled 324 yards of offense compared to Atlanta’s 292.
The 49ers successfully limited running back Bijan Robinson to 40 rushing yards on 14 carries. He caught six passes for 52 yards and scored a touchdown. San Francisco quarterback Mac Jones, playing in place of Brock Purdy, threw for 152 yards and an interception.
Despite dealing with injuries since Week 1, the 49ers improved their record to 5-2 with the win, while Atlanta’s record dropped to 3-3.
